Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course Providers

12th Judicial Circuit - 2011

The following are providers for the Parent Education and Family Stabilization classes that are required by Fla. Stat. § 61.21. This required course is a four hour parenting class designed to educate, train, and assist divorcing parents in regard to the consequences of divorce on parents and children. All parties to a dissolution of marriage proceeding with minor children or a paternity action that involves issues of parental responsibility shall be required to complete the Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course prior to the entry by the court of a final judgment.

Distance Learning Parenting Classes

The 12th Judicial Circuit does not accept certificates from Distance Learning Parenting Courses completed online without prior approval of the court. Litigants who wish to take a parenting course on the internet must file the proper motion with the court and receive the court’s permission before taking an online course. All online courses must be certified by the Department of Children and Families as an approved 4 hour Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course Provider.
